Weather change

Lubbock, Texas, USA.  Today's high, 90, overnight low forecast is as low as 32 degrees F. Wind expected to become northerly and strong this PM.  High Tuesday, 52 deg F.

Trial resumes for Jodie the KILLER in Phoenix, AZ, USA, Tuesday.  There should not be too many more witnesses for the prosecution, I have no idea what happens after the state is finished.  More from the defense?  Then, finally, closing arguments, deliberations, guilty verdict, hopefully anyway and sentence.  I hope guilty of premeditated murder and penalty of death.  Knowing what has happened in recent high profile trials, anything could happen.

We'll see.

Jodi Arias Trial

I hate writing that name, more than that, I hate saying it.  How someone can kill in such a brutal manner and lie, lie and lie about her involvement is beyond me.  If you haven't heard anything about this case, she was "fatally attracted" to Mr. Travis Alexander a former boyfriend of hers.  Drove to Mesa, AZ, from northern California, trying not to leave a trail for the police to follow, slit his throat, stabbed him 29 times and for good measure shot him in the head.

This happened on or about June 4, 2008.  The trial is playing out on TV, HLN (headline news), or on other outlets.  I try to watch the coverage provided by azfamily.com.  This stream is via ustream.com.

She first said she was not in Mesa or even in the state on that date.  That was lie one.

Then she said she and Travis were attacked by two hooded people, ninja style, one male and one female.  Lie two.

Finally, after the police showed graphic pictures, dated that date showing she and Travis in various poses, undressed and even one of her leg and foot as she dragged his bloody body to the shower, she admitted the killing.  At trial she claimed self-defense.  Are you kidding me!

Her defense witnesses, seemingly well educated, come off as nothing but paid assassins.  They seem bright enough, but, dim-witted in their testimony.  I can only guess her lies convinced them of her innocence.  I don't know how, nor can I see how she did this.  I can only think witchcraft!  Well, that last statement is in jest, but??

It is best you look further on the Internet.  It should be online for some years to come. Several YouTube providers post videos of the court sessions daily.

Unusual Day in Lubbock, Texas

Woke up to a cold, wet day.

It was 29 degrees F at 5:15 AM, fell before daybreak to 22 degrees.  Then it started snowing at about 7AM, heavy snow/rain mix until about 9AM. Enough to nearly completely cover the ground.

It was all gone by noon, just cold and windy the balance of the day.
